I know that August knows Lily's lying, but why doesn't she ever hint towards it and try to get the truth out of her. She never hints towards Roseleen either
Usually when a person has a secret deep in side, and are lying daily to someone they trust then, they eventually can't keep it in any longer. I think that August is waiting for Lily to trust her enough, to tell her the truth.
I agree with John. Although she never hints toward the lie, she knows its there and that Lily will most likely tell her soon. Even with this, in the last two chapters that we just read, August starts to hint toward it. She says that the book she is reading is about a girl who is lost and confused, because her mother died when she was little. I think that August found something out and is now pushing Lily to speak the truth.
I think because August wants to help Lily
