Question!

Hey,
I have a question, it's on Chapter 3:

4. Lily seems to always be looking for a sign to guid her. Is this a demonstration of faith, superstition, or childish thinking?

I think that Lily's action of looking for sign is a demonstration of faith and childish thinking. Because she didn't live with her parents when she was young, so that didn't learn too much about the experience about the society. But I'm not sure about that.

What do you think about it?

  1. I'm glad you brought this up, Jessica. Lily's superstition is very important in the novel. She has faith that a sign will always come to her to point her in the right direction. I'm not sure if this is childish thinking or not. I'm interested to see what the group thinks.
