I really like the quote in chapter 5 that said "Would it divide the hurt in two, make it lighter to bear, the way feeling someone's joy seemed to double it?"(page 95)
Feel like May's depression is based on this quote because the twin sisters used to share the same feeling, which makes them feel much better than just carry everything by one person. However, with one of the twins died, the other need to feel the double amount of a specific event than before and half joy as before. Thus making May sensitive and depressed
i feel like without her twin she feels like she is suppose to carry all the hurt and pain but with her twin they would carry it together and in half
